The sushi was fresh and made right in front of us. This is definitely unlike any other sushi spot I've ever been to. I don't recommend this to anyone who is only into California or Philadelphia rolls. This place is for people who are adventurous and enjoy trying a variety of different types of sushi and can appreciate the authentic approach that Tanoshi delivers. Just be sure to let your chef know if you have a shellfish allergy and they will adjust the sushi to your needs.

Excellent experience! Highly recommend!! Not only is the sushi at Tanoshi phenomenal, but so is the service. I recently went to Tanoshi for the fifth time, and the food and service is consistently incredible. I make the trip to Tanoshi coming from central Long Island, so it is not around the corner from me. The trip is worth it every time.

I returned from a trip to Japan in September and only 3 months later felt like I was back there. Have the other reviews not said enough? The sushi is top notch, the rice has a great amount of vinegar, they use the perfect amount of wasabi (and I say that as someone who doesn't like wasabi). Go here and treat yourself to some proper sushi!

Geronimo was our chef for my most recent experience, and he is excellent at knowing the fish that he is serving as well as the location that it is from. On top of that he makes each piece of sushi PERFECT. The sushi really is on another level at Tanoshi. Also Geronimo remembered me from the other times that I went to Tanoshi.

Great experience at this restaurant! We all had the all you can eat option and had a blast. The sushi was very well prepared, tasty, and there were options for every taste and dietary restriction. The service was friendly and fast, and the sushi was prepared and brought to the table fast as well.

I can't speak to dine-in experience, but for takeout, this place is excellent. Quality = $$$, but price = $. All ingredients very fresh. For the "main dishes" the quality was also good and price was on the low end of what you'd expect given the quality. For a group of 3+, check out their sushi "party trays." Perhaps in other reviews speedy service is mistaken for poor service (they are pretty short on the phone, but in person for pick up were quite nice).

The Sashimi was on point. I probably had a dozen pieces? I stuck mostly with the tuna and the salmon.This was probably my favorite experience at an all you can eat sushi buffet because there was regularly sized sashimi, the rolls were packed with fish and not rice, the pork belly bun was good, service was fast, and there was liquor involved. They also just give you a small bowl of ginger and wasabi instead of adding it to every plate you're served.

Kikoo all you can eat sushi is awesome! We've been here a handful of times, and it's by far our favorite all you can eat place in the city! The sushi is great quality, and always fresh. They have awesome specialty roll options. And the service is always excellent. They are so fast! We love coming here, and highly recommend it for sushi lovers!

Food was great, delivery was even earlier, all good, BUT te delivery guy was RIDICULOUSLY RUDE!!! He honestly looked as if he was about to beat me up because he never rang the doorbell (which I wrote "press 120 on the doorbell" and he was calling me instead- all my delivery guys are able to press the button it's not that difficult)

This spot is mine and my wife's go to take out. We love either the chicken bento box, Usually we order for delivery but once in a while we like to pick it up if we are in the area , ery polite workers so there's really no complaint about this place from me. This is our favorite Japanese restaurant in East Side.
